Wedding photography in Utah typically costs between $1,900 and $6,500+, depending on the photographer’s experience, the number of hours covered, and whether videography is included. At Katinov Photography, packages start at $1,900 for shorter coverage, with most full-day packages falling between $2,500 and $4,000. According to data from WeddingWire and The Knot, the average Utah couple spends approximately $2,900–$4,500 on professional wedding photography. We publish transparent pricing on our pricing page so you know what to expect before we ever speak.
For Saturday weddings between May and October – peak season in Utah – we recommend booking 10 to 14 months in advance. Popular summer and fall dates fill up fast, especially for venues like Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Sundance. If you’re planning a winter wedding or a weekday ceremony, you may have more flexibility, but booking 6+ months ahead is still smart. We accept a modest deposit to hold your date, with the balance due closer to the wedding.
Our standard full-day package includes 8 hours of wedding day coverage, a lead photographer, a full edited gallery of 400–700 high-resolution images, a private Pixieset online gallery with download rights, and a pre-wedding planning consultation. Select packages also include a complimentary engagement session. Videography is available as a standalone booking or as a bundled add-on. We can customize every package around your specific timeline and needs – just ask during your free consultation.
Absolutely. While our studio is based in Provo, Utah, we cover the entire state regularly – including Salt Lake City, Ogden, Park City, St. George, Moab, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and beyond. We also serve destination and elopement clients throughout Southern Utah’s national parks. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond a certain radius, and we’ll always be transparent about those costs upfront. We’ve photographed weddings from Cache Valley in the north to the Arizona border in the south.
Our style is what we call Luminous Candid Storytelling – a blend of photojournalistic documentation and artistic portraiture. In practice, this means we spend most of the day observing and capturing moments as they happen naturally, while also setting aside focused time for intentional, well-lit portraits. The result is a gallery that feels alive – emotionally real and visually vibrant. We’re particularly known for our use of Utah’s natural light: the golden canyon glow, the mountain dusk, the dramatic contrast of red rock against blue sky.
We deliver your fully edited wedding gallery within 6 weeks of your wedding date. In many cases, delivery comes sooner – particularly during our slower winter season. You’ll receive an email with a link to your private Pixieset gallery where you can view and download all images in high resolution, share with family, and order prints or albums. We do not deliver unedited images, because every photo you receive has been through our full editing process.
Yes, and we encourage them – not just because engagement photos are beautiful, but because the session gives us a chance to work together before your wedding day. You’ll get comfortable in front of the camera, we’ll learn how to photograph you as a couple, and everyone shows up on your wedding day already in sync. Engagement sessions are available as standalone bookings or included in select wedding packages. Popular Utah engagement locations include Provo Canyon, Antelope Island, and the Salt Flats.
Yes – and this is one of the things that makes Katinov Photography genuinely different from hiring two separate vendors. Our team includes Stoyan (lead photographer), Chris (lead videographer), Hannah (photo and video), and Katie (photography) – meaning all four of us already know each other’s shooting styles, timing, and creative language. Your wedding film and photo gallery will look like they belong together because they were made by the same team. Bundling photo and video also typically saves you money compared to hiring separately. Utah weather can be unpredictable – especially in spring and late fall – and we’ve photographed weddings in rain, snow, high wind, and everything in between. Honestly? Some of our most dramatic and beautiful galleries have come from imperfect weather days. We come prepared with gear protection and adapt our locations and timing in real time. We’ll work with your venue coordinator and planner to identify indoor portrait alternatives, and we’ll keep you calm and focused on what actually matters: getting married.
Yes, and we love them. Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, and Canyonlands are all locations we actively pursue. Elopements and intimate ceremonies in Utah’s national parks require commercial photography permits, and we handle all permit coordination as part of our planning process. If you’re dreaming of saying your vows on a canyon rim at sunrise with nobody else around, that’s exactly the kind of wedding we built this studio to document. Contact us early – national park elopements require advance planning.
Always and enthusiastically. Katinov Photography is fully LGBTQ+ friendly and welcomes couples of all backgrounds, cultures, religions, and traditions. Our multilingual team – speaking English, Bulgarian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese – is a genuine advantage for multicultural weddings where family members may not share a common language. We’ve photographed intercultural ceremonies blending traditions from across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and beyond, and we approach each one with curiosity and respect for what makes it unique.
A few things stand out. First, we’re a four-person team under one studio – you get consistent style and creative coordination without managing multiple vendors. Second, our multilingual capability (English, Bulgarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese) is almost unheard of among Utah wedding studios. Third, Stoyan’s 10+ years of experience and international background as a Bulgarian-born photographer gives his work a perspective that shows up in the images. Fourth, we cover both photography and videography in-house, meaning your film and gallery look cohesive. And fifth – we genuinely like people. This job is about your relationship, not our portfolio.
